Our founder, Kason Trevino, began his career in road construction after recognizing the need for reliable, professional paving contractors who prioritize quality workmanship and customer satisfaction. With a background in civil engineering and hands-on construction experience, Kason built State Highway Dept on the principles of integrity, precision, and continuous improvement.

Today, we operate from our headquarters in Wamego, Kansas, strategically located along US Highway 24, which serves as both our home base and a testament to the quality infrastructure we help maintain. Our central location allows us to efficiently serve the Midwest while maintaining the capability to mobilize teams for projects nationwide.

Over the past 15 years, we have completed more than 500 paving projects, ranging from residential driveways to major commercial parking facilities and municipal road construction.
