State Highway Dept is committed to providing high-quality paving and construction services. This Refund Policy outlines the terms and conditions under which refunds may be provided for our services. Please read this policy carefully before engaging our services.
Due to the nature of construction and paving work, refunds are handled on a case-by-case basis and are subject to the specific terms outlined in individual service agreements.
2. Service Categories
Completed Work
Once paving or construction work has been completed and materials have been installed, refunds are generally not available. However, we stand behind our workmanship and will address any issues covered under our service warranty at no additional cost.
Work in Progress
For projects that are partially completed, refunds will be calculated based on:
- Materials already purchased and delivered to the site
- Labor hours completed
- Equipment mobilization costs
- Administrative and project management expenses
Cancelled Before Work Begins
If you cancel your project before work begins, refund eligibility depends on the timing and circumstances of the cancellation.
3. Cancellation Terms
Client-Initiated Cancellations
More than 48 hours before scheduled start: Full refund of any deposits, minus administrative fees (typically $150-$300 depending on project scope)
24-48 hours before scheduled start: Refund of deposits minus administrative fees and any materials already ordered (typically 75-85% refund)
Less than 24 hours before scheduled start: Refund minus administrative fees, ordered materials, and mobilization costs (typically 50-70% refund)
Weather-Related Delays
If work is delayed due to weather conditions beyond our control, no cancellation fees apply. Deposits will be held until work can be rescheduled or refunded in full upon request.
State Highway Dept Initiated Cancellations
If we need to cancel or significantly delay your project due to circumstances on our end, you will receive a full refund of all payments made.
4. Refund Process
How to Request a Refund
To request a refund, please contact us in writing (email or postal mail) within 30 days of the issue or cancellation. Include:
- Your name and contact information
- Project address and contract number
- Reason for refund request
- Supporting documentation if applicable
Processing Time
Refund requests are typically processed within 10-15 business days of approval. Refunds will be issued using the same payment method as the original transaction when possible.
Partial Refunds
In cases where partial work has been completed or materials have been delivered, refunds will be calculated based on the remaining value after deducting completed work and non-returnable materials.
5. Non-Refundable Items
The following items are generally non-refundable:
- Custom-ordered materials specific to your project
- Permits and inspection fees
- Site preparation work already completed
- Design and engineering services
- Materials that have been delivered and cannot be returned
6. Quality Issues and Warranty Claims
Workmanship Issues
If you are unsatisfied with the quality of our work, we will first attempt to remedy the issue at no additional cost. Refunds for quality issues are considered only after we have had the opportunity to correct the problem.
Warranty Coverage
Issues covered under our service warranty will be addressed through repair or replacement rather than refunds. Our warranty terms are outlined in individual service agreements.
Material Defects
If materials prove to be defective, we will work with suppliers to obtain replacements or credits, which may result in partial refunds to the client.
7. Emergency Services
Emergency repair services are generally non-refundable once work has begun, due to the urgent nature of these services and the immediate mobilization of crews and equipment.
8. Dispute Resolution
If you disagree with our refund decision, we encourage you to contact our management team to discuss the matter further. We are committed to finding fair solutions for all parties involved.
For unresolved disputes, mediation may be pursued as outlined in our Terms of Service.
9. Changes to This Policy
State Highway Dept reserves the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our website. Existing contracts will be governed by the refund terms in effect at the time of signing.
